Where is WestHaven?
WH is located in the heart of Glenn County in Orland, CA, half a block south of the Glenn County Fairgrounds.

What is WestHaven?     A licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) that has expanded to serve up to 40 senior residents.

Who owns WestHaven?
WH is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, faith based community operated by a non-profit religious corporation, WestHaven Orland Development, based in Orland, CA.

What level of care does WestHaven offer?     WH is a mixed community supporting residents with a range of cognitive and physical needs. We support all activities of daily living, on-going dementia related behavioral modification and accommodations, and advanced support for stroke recovery, hip fracture, and even hospice care residents.

Does WestHaven offer only long-term care?
No.  We also offer licensed support for most levels of short-term respite care in beautifully furnished rooms with minimum stays of as few as 3 days.  We also offer non-residential independence programs to include adult day care, and lifestyle lease programs with optional meals and housekeeping in the adjacent Village at Fairview active adult senior community.

What does WestHaven cost?
Our base rates for long term care start at $2,295 per month for a shared room and $2,495 for a private room.  Levels of care charges are additional and range from $325-$775 per service group, per month. Our dementia specific community placement with our unique care companions staffing model starts at $3,520 per month.

Does WestHaven accept Health Insurance?
WestHaven is not a medical facility, therefore, we cannot accept health insurance. Certain long-term care policies, as well as Veterans Administration Aide and Attendance and other programs do provide reimbursements for assisted care to many of our residents. WestHaven staffs will assist you with preparing any claims for insurance reimbursements.

“(We were impressed with) the caring and loving personnel. Everyone was so kind and caring. Orland is blessed to have such a wonderful assisted living. (WestHaven’s) Christian atmosphere is apparent, ‘Preach the gospel always… if necessary, use words’. Thank you so very much for taking such wonderful care of my brother.”
~Rosalie C.

“(Our family) found WestHaven to be a safe ‘sanctuary’ for residents with numerous maladies. The staff was genuine, committed, dedicated, loving and concerned about the entire welfare of each resident. We applaud you!!”
~Helen & Bill H.

“WestHaven holds a very special place in my heart and always will. I can never repay or thank the loving staff enough for all the help, support and kindness they showed my mother and my family. I believe I am their number one fan and am always talking with families that are looking for a special place for a loved one. WestHaven is the best!”
~Shirley S.

“(The Caregivers at WestHaven) were with her most of the time, so caring and loving. As if (she) were their own mother. They prayed with her and kissed her. (We) couldn’t ask for a better home away from home.”
~Lester M.
